​Concealment is an 8000 square foot detached addition to Bauer Wurster Hall on the south side. Programmatically, this project features a four-story structure containing enfilades of a public lobby, auditorium, office core, and pin-up space. The central design concept explores how a simple rectangular envelope conceals a complex interior through multi-heighted spaces and arcs.

​​Triple Emphasis is an 43,400 square foot two-story municipal service and gallery center located across from a bustling super market and surrounding residences. The program includes public galleries, a cafe, lobby, three services, offices, and classrooms. Using a hierarchical interpretation of the program, the project aims to emphasize the most vital spaces through two distinct volumetric massing.

U Annex features a 4,000 square foot attached addition to the courtyard of Bauer Wurster Hall. For the program, the building is a combination of a lobby on the first floor with an open air ceiling that intersects into an auditorium above. The goal of this project is to create a spatial journey that smoothly transitions between two rooms stacked onto each other through the formalistic qualities of a "U".

Course: ARCH 11B / Studio: Rudabeh Pakravan / TA: Mike Ren

Gridvolution is a 12,000 square foot adaptive reuse of an existing multi-housing residence in Berkeley, California into an art school combined with residential spaces. The structure consists of student housing, gallery spaces, studios, classrooms, and a cafe. This project aims to use a trapezoidal grid to unify the new adaptation of the site through a common circulation direction and form.
