Room In Room comprises a 2,000 square foot attachment to the East side of Bauer Wurster Hall beside the Ong and Ong Plaza. The program includes one central lobby along with surrounding storage and restrooms. Overall, the goal of this project is to find a balance between the interaction of a public lobby surrounded by programs that are generally hidden.

Room In Room's form is inspired by the surrounding East side of Bauer Wurster Hall through the shape of an "L". A central semicircular curved wall differentiates the public and hidden programs. The lobby's curved walls allow the space to feel more open.

Given the public lobby's lack of natural lightning from the sides, a large skylight provides natural light into the space. To traverse between the programs, there is one continuous hallway that runs from Ong & Ong Plaza to the pre-existing pathway. This allows for the lobby to act as a resting spot between the circulation around the site.
